Get Your Sewing Projects Done Faster Without Sacrificing the Quality of Your Work Part 2

July 15, 2012 by Katrina

Have you ever wished you could make the patternmaking process go faster so you could get your sewing projects done faster? That’s the reason I use patternmaking software to speed up the patternmaking process.

Today I want to continue the inside look into PatternMaster Boutique 5 by wildginger.com to show you how you can edit or change your patterns in the computer just as you would with paper and pencil.

You can find Part 1 here if you haven’t seen it yet.

Do you have any questions about this software? Feel free to ask in the comments below. You can also share time saving tips on how you get your sewing projects done faster.

How can you use this software to redesign commercial patterns?

This software really can’t be used to redesign commercial patterns unless you had a very expensive piece of equipment to put them into your computer. This is more for creating and redesigning custom patterns from your measurements.

You are fantastic. I have searched high and low for a full, ‘easy to follow’ tutorial on using pattern drafting software. Thank you.
I would really like to know how to re-style basic slopers to create designs of my choosing.

Thank you, J. Sia. I’m hoping to do tutorials on restyling basic slopers in the future.
